Product Overview
Designed by renowned cast iron craftsman Nobuho Miya, these bottle openers are made at Kamasada, a family-run iron casting studio in Morioka, Japan, with three generations of craftsmanship behind it. Their playful, minimalist silhouettes take inspiration from traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls, blending a familiar folk art form with modern design.
Each opener is finished with black urushi lacquer, which helps protect the iron from rust. With time and use, the finish may gradually wear to reveal a beautiful silver-brown patina, adding character to a piece made to last.
