Product Overview
Grown in the lush Nugu River Valley of Karnataka, this heirloom nutmeg is hand harvested when fully ripe to develop its rich flavor and distinctive notes of eucalyptus and rose. Grate it fresh into baked goods, creamy sauces, warm drinks, vegetables, and savory dishes.
The nutmeg comes from a 35-year-old regenerative farm owned by the Cariappa family, where careful growing practices support the health of the land and surrounding ecosystem.
What Makes It Special
Grown on the Cariappa family’s regenerative farm in the Nugu River Valley, a lush landscape visited by elephants and home to paradise flycatchers, hornbills, and woodpeckers. The nutmeg apples are harvested by hand at peak ripeness for exceptional flavor and aroma.
