Product Overview
Every spring the potters at Wayne Village Pottery wake up to robins. From the pottery shop window, the new garden is full of them: alert, hopping, and friendly. This ornament captures that moment in the same kind of clay the early redware potters used, made in their tradition of pottery that's useful, affordable, and decorative. It's a sweet gift for gardeners, bird lovers, new parents, or anyone counting the days until they can plant tomatoes.
What Makes It Special
"Robin's egg blue" is a real color name, and the real eggs get their shade from biliverdin, a pigment the mother robin adds as the shell forms. Not every robin flies south, either. Plenty stick around all winter, which makes this one right at home on the tree.
