Description
A small rolling pin for small ambitions: hand pies, dumplings, a single pie crust, or a few sugar cookies. This 9″ mini French rolling pin from Sunhouse Craft is turned from sustainably harvested ambrosia maple and tapered at the ends, so it rolls smooth and stays easy to steer. It's also small enough to fit in a drawer, which your current rolling pin probably isn't.

Product Overview
French rolling pins skip the handles and taper toward the ends, so your hands sit right on the dough. That gives you better control and an easy way to pivot as you roll a round. This mini version is sized for small jobs and small hands, and it's a good first rolling pin for a young baker. Sunhouse Craft makes each one from ambrosia maple, so the grain on every pin is a little different.
What Makes It Special
Those streaks in ambrosia maple come from a tiny ambrosia beetle. It tunnels into the tree and brings along a fungus that stains the wood in gray and brown streaks, so no two pins look alike. Bugs and fungus don't usually sell kitchenware, but here they made something beautiful.
